Account Deletion and Data Retention
This is Miqnas's owner-approved operational policy, not legal advice.
Request deletion
Open Settings in My Career, Resume Builder, or Hiring and choose Request account deletion. Reauthentication is required. If the app is inaccessible, use the public support action below.
Delete some of your data and keep your account
In the Miqnas app you can delete these yourself at any time:
- Profile photo: on your profile, tap your photo and choose Remove profile picture.
- Profile details and references (experience, education, skills and other sections): open the section and choose Remove on the item.
- Saved jobs: tap Saved on the job.
- Saved searches: in Search, open Saved searches and choose Delete.
- Jobs you added from outside Miqnas: open the job and choose Delete job. This also deletes the CV review, interview preparation, skills plan and job-specific resume made for it.
- Notifications: swipe a notification and choose Delete, or choose Delete all.
- Public resume link: in Resume Builder, choose Revoke public link.
- Your whole My Career profile: in My Career settings, choose Delete My Career profile. Employers stop seeing it straight away, and it is deleted or de-identified after 90 days. Your account and any Resume Builder or Hiring access stay.
To delete anything else, such as an uploaded CV or chat messages, email privacy@miqnas.ai from your account email. We delete it unless the law requires us to keep it, as explained below.
Scheduling and cancellation
Miqnas shows the authoritative scheduled date and status. Cancellation is available only while the request remains cancellable and stops once irreversible processing begins. A sole company administrator may need to transfer responsibility first. Deletion is scheduled, not instant.
What happens at completion
Miqnas removes the authentication account. The deleted account can no longer be used through supported Miqnas flows, and registered notification devices and account-linked access are removed or disabled. Personal My Career and Resume Builder data, CVs, resumes, answers, personal uploads, user-authored content, and temporary verification or recovery material are deleted. Limited structured recruiting history may remain only after deidentification, without a recoverable candidate profile or free-text personal content.
Financial and company records
Minimum necessary completed payment, refund, invoice, and supporting accounting records may be retained through the first day after the ten following financial years. An active dispute hold may extend retention until resolved. Company invoices, invoice documents, and manual-payment receipts are company accounting records. Deleting the employee who uploaded a receipt detaches that person's identity but does not delete the company record or private object; those records follow the independent company financial-retention lifecycle. Temporary purge work is removed and only minimized audit evidence remains for five years. Deleting an employee account removes membership and identity linkage but does not delete an independent company workspace or other users' records.
Legal basis and platform information
Retention is limited to minimum records needed for accounting or legal obligations. See Qatar PDPPL and Qatar Income Tax Law. Apple and Google guidance concerns app-store deletion transparency, not the Qatar legal basis for retention.
